Scheduled – PaymentSafe, PCI DSS Requirement – Thursday, February 15, 2018February 1, 2018 12:39 pm
Last updated on February 27th, 2018 at 09:41 am CT
As your trusted partner, it is Experian Health’s responsibility to safeguard both patient and client data, and remain compliant with industry standards and regulations. One such standard by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Councils addresses how long a user session can be idle. Specifically, PCI DSS Requirement 8.1.8 states: “If a session has been idle for more than 15 minutes, require the user to re-authenticate to reactivate the terminal or session”.
Effective the evening of Thursday, February 15, 2018, Experian Health will be releasing during our normal build process, a system change to the PaymentSafe solution that will automatically logout any user whose session has been idle for 15 minutes and require the user to reauthenticate with their credentials before additional payments can be processed. This change to Experian Health’s applications will affect any user working in eCare Next, or in OneSource, that has been granted access to the PaymentSafe application.
